Measuring Your Space for Your Table

Tips for Properly Measuring Your Space

When you have a table like the ones Cape Cod Colonial Tables creates in your home, you want it to be the centerpiece. They are, in essence, functioning works of art. Here's how to measure your space for your ideal table size.

First, measure your room to ensure you have the correct size table for your space. Next, subtract 5 feet 4 inches from the length of your room (that's 32" from both ends for chairs). Do the same for the width of your room. This will give you an idea of your ideal table size.

Be mindful of the seating guide and your needs when deciding on a table size:

  • A 6' table seats 6 people
  • An 8' table seats 8 people
  • A 10' table seats 10-12 people

In our experience, people only regret not filling the space and going bigger. Contact us today, and we'll help you determine what size suits your needs.

We had the best experience picking out the perfect statement piece for our new home. John and Kim from Cape Cod Colonial Tables were beyond professional and caring! My table came out spectacular and was custom-sized by John per the space in our home. Everyone that comes into my house comments on the table. The quality is top-notch. John made the delivery himself for a special occasion we were having. I would never go anywhere else!
